Pros and cons of Brain Training Unotan app for iPhone and iPad

Brain Training Unotan app good for

If you are a student or anybody that wish to stay "mentally fit" this app is a must. This is the equivalent of a gym for your brain. Worth every cent. As a medical doctor, memory and concentration are constantly need it and this exercises are a perfect fit for me.
I think this is one of the best apps in the iTunes store. Ive had it for about a week and think its just wonderful. I work on the little trainers in the morning to get myself started. I feel that these exercises do help with concentration. I like the mix of categories and find that the sessions speed along and increase my ability to remember details. It is absolutely addictive. I want 100% in every category. One trainer - Find the goal - for some reason I just cant get that one - but its fun trying.
It is too bad this app isnt on the top 10 list because it certainly deserves to be. Its nicely designed aesthetically and the brain trainers are addicting and fun, and Ive had no problems with the app. I think its a shame that none of the app reviewer sites have reviewed this one because Im sure a lot more people would like this if they actually knew more about it. As for me, I cant help but want to keep playing the ones I didnt get 100% on. I used to live in Japan so I know Shichida is a highly respected and famous educator and psychologist, whom if i remember correctly has been studying brain improvement//training for 50 years and has written a ton of books. Hes most famous for brain training centers for 5 year olds. Anyway, Im just happy I stumbled upon this worthy app. Finally I have an app I dont feel guilty spending time and money on.
Like other reviewers, Im also surprised this app isnt more popular. Ive been a fan of great brain games like tuner and toot for a while now. More than a game, this is a tool that makes you work for results. The interface and graphics are appealing, an the excercises are challenging. Everyone has a weakness, and this app will have a specific exercise to improve on it. Highly recommended! Some suggestions for improvement: allow changing of time limits for stamina training and pausing excercises to handle interruptions. Track progress over time to see improvement. Set up multiple users. Since Im interested in stamina, Id like to see a graph of missed questions per minute.
My father died of Alzheimers and Im making sure I do all I can to make sure my neurons keep being stimulated! This not only is a fresh app for the brain but it also is fun! A brain Id a sad thing to lose so do yourself a favor and keep it sharp, this program will help & you can have fun simultaneously. 5 stars well deserved.
Best brain game on iphone. Ive hunted through these and the only one that comes close is the n-back game iq boost. But you can take just so much of that n-back training. These games are fun . . . and more importantly, can increase your short term memory. Really. Though they are very very good, I would suggest a few minor improvements that would dramatically improve the usefulness of these games. GIVE THE USER CONTROL OF THE COUNTDOWN TIMER. This is a relatively trivial programming task but will have big rewards to the user. For example, lets say that your goal is to remember circumstances. A number of images is flashed up and you have only a few seconds to encode them for recall. This is okay for the lower levels, but as the number of images gets greater it may require more time to encode them. Give they user the option of say 3, 6, 9 seconds or 3 second increments and you have changed the game significantly. Now you have time to encode the information and, once you get proficient at the highest number of images at a longer time increment, you can then lower the countdown timer to challenge not just your recall, but your recall under more time pressure. Dont get me wrong . . . this is a great game and worth the five dollars. Just some suggestions for making it even better.

Some bad moments

please make it able to get rid of the awful music, but not the sounds!
